  • Medical Physicist, UPMC CancerCenter

I perform all aspects of clinical medical physics including linac, CT, HDR, LDR, planning system QA; initial and weekly chart checks; and training of staff in radiation safety and proper equipment use. I serve as a physics representative on the radiation oncology ARIA/EMR committee, as a physics regional coordinator, and as a member of the radiation safety committee at our joint venture partner Excela Health. I continue to train sites in the use of 4DCT and gated radiotherapy. I assisted in upgrades to ARIA (and Eclipse) completing the necessary preparation and subsequent QA. We installed a new linac and accepted it.

I would also like to perform more 4D research (e.g. limiting heart dose with gated radiotherapy) and complete a review paper on gated SBRT.
