I work as a clinical medical physicist at the radiation oncology department in UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. I provide daily service in physics and technical support for patient care, consultation for physicians, and education to departmental staffs. I am actively involved in teaching for physician and physics residents. My main clinical research areas are 1) dosimetric and clinical outcome studies for radiation treatments with external beam and high dose rate brachytherapy for gynecological cancers, 2) cost effectiveness analyses of various radiation therapy treatments.

Teaching Activities:

  • Teach physics radiation oncology physician residents, physics residents, and dosimetry trainees on daily basis
  • In-service (linear accelerator and HDR brachytherapy emergency training, MU calculation, diode measurement. 4D Gating CT and treatment) to therapists
