I have practiced radiation oncology in Altoona since December 1982, and opened the department at what is now UPMC Altoona in May 1995. As the only provider of these services in the region, patients with all types of malignant diseases are evaluated and treated at this site. The department is equipped in a comprehensive and complete fashion, and an experienced staff of physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and nurses are part of the facility, with other support staff.
Teaching Activities:
I am a member of the teaching faculty of the Altoona Family Physicians program and in the Palliative Care Fellowship program. Medical students also rotate in the department.
