Parul N Barry, MD

  • Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology

Dr. Barry is a board certified radiation oncologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

She has served in several leadership positions at the national level, including chairing both the Resident and New Practitioner Committees for the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). She currently serves as the Scientific Program Committee Co-Chair for ACRO and is a faculty mentor for the Society of Women in Radiation Oncology (SWRO). She is a member of both the NRG Breast and Rare Tumors Committees as well as the NRG New Investigator Committee. She also serves as a member of the ASTRO Education Committee and the ASTRO Committee on Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. She is a Senior Associate Editor for the journal Rare Tumors and Associate Editor for the MedNet. She is a Guest Editor for the Annals of Breast Surgery Radiation Focused Issue. She has given multiple talks and moderated several educational sessions at the local, national, and international level. She is the winner of multiple awards including the Tim Lee Carter award for her work in advancing women in medicine, the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research award, and the FAME Excellence in Mentorship award.
