Sarah Ashmeg, PhD, DABR

Sarah Ashmeg, PhD, DABR, is a principle medical physicist at St. Clair Hospital Radiation Oncology and the assistant director of the therapy medical physics program at UPMC. She has also served as a recent president of the regional chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. Her clinical interests include stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). Her research focuses on the advancement of cutting-edge technology in radiation oncology, as well as the use of nanoparticles to improve the efficacy of radiation dosage in cancer treatments.
